Strategizing Your Business To Increase Customer Base

When starting a business, an entrepreneur’s concentration is to dominate the market in a local setting. However, it may not be as simple, mainly if you build your own brand. Thus, in the first few months, you are sure to experience numerous trials, one of which is trying to reach out to more people. Being an entrepreneur, your goal is not to be popular within a small radius of your city. Wanting to tap on the needs of more people has always been an entrepreneur’s goal.

Let’s say you have somehow reached out to more people within the proximity of your business, then your next goal is to make your brand known to a bigger audience. Wouldn’t it be just great to tap your business on a national level? So, how do we make that possible? Here are a few tips that can effectively help you achieve your goal.

      1.  The Power of Social Media

I have mentioned using social media in my previous articles quite often because it genuinely does wonders for your business. You just need to learn how to navigate these platforms and communicate with your customers promptly. Customers feel special when they know that they are given the attention when they want to inquire about the products you offer or listen to their suggestions. You can genuinely go big with your business through them because their feedback matters so much to help you with your business.

It is ideal for building your business profile as soon as you start your business. This will increase the market’s awareness of your brand. What is great about these platforms is that you can readily join any group already interested in the products you may have. Engaging with these individuals can slowly get you the attention you need for your business.

One tip, though. Beware of buying “followers” just to increase the number of people who will like or follow your business page/profile. Several individuals would reach out to you and offer several followers for a specific price. Sadly, most or probably all of these are dummy accounts that cannot help your business. It is much better to grow your audience by reaching a specific target market. Make sure that you stay creative and unique with your content to reach the national level. Don’t just post anything, but strive to make people engage with every post. One of the best ways to make your followers engage is to create some sort of an online contest wherein you let your audience participate. Giving them coupons or vouchers can help you generate leads, plus people respond positively if they know that they get something from their efforts.

      2.  Launch A Press Release

There may be confusion between a new release and a press release. A press release is reaching out to various media outlets and letting them help you with marketing your business. It is a news brief that provides information about the latest happenings surrounding a company or a brand. It is used to inform others about what to expect, whether it is about releasing a new product, an upcoming event, a new partnership, and more.

A press release is written information made for the media outlets. FYI- these are published by the media outlets and not you. You submit the details to a media outlet in hopes of them posting the story. Just imagine if huge media outlets pick up your story. This could genuinely reach out to millions of their subscribers. However, it is to note that submitting to these media outlets does not automatically mean that it is going to be published. Thus, the press release must be appropriately written and as interesting as possible.

The press release covers everything that people need to know about. To make an exciting piece make sure to make it serious and direct to the point. Focus more on the 5Ws and 1H- Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How. Make an enticing headline to get noticed. One tip in writing a press release – if you are aiming to get a press release published by a specific media outlet, try to write it in the same style as they do. This will likely increase the chances of your press release being published.

      3.  Join An Expo

Build your connections by joining expos, conventions, and other business gatherings. Indeed, it can be a bit expensive to travel to join such events, but, I tell you, it will be worth the hassle. You don’t just merely increase your business connections, but at the same time, you can meet people from whom you can learn

Partnership opportunities can also be possible to help expand your business. Joining these events allows you to meet potential buyers, as well as business-minded people who could be willing to help you market your business. Once you have decided to join an expo, make sure to pick a spot near the entrance so people can immediately see you as soon as they enter the venue.

Make your booth stand out by creating unique visual materials. Invest in good marketing materials such as posters, flyers, and business cards. This is not the time to be stingy.

Are you ready to make it big? Well, don’t hesitate to start your journey now! Let me know what you have done to make it to a larger market and the challenges you met. Just drop me a message.
