Where Do You Go From Here?

Having a business after quite some time is not an assurance that it will stand firm all the time. There would always come a time when entrepreneurs would feel confused, stressed, anxious, and, yes, depressed. It could be caused by something beyond their control or something they have caused. And when not-so-great things happen, sometimes, we just want to crawl into a hole and hope and pray that it will just go away on its own. Of course, no entrepreneur would want to sink their business intentionally. But, things just happen.

When this happens, our initial reaction should not just give up. We should help ourselves embrace adversity and hold on to hope, and take every opportunity available. We should learn to turn negative feelings into positive ones.

What Do You Do If You Feel You Are Stuck?

I understand that issues may seem too overwhelming that it may seem impossible to get rid of them. But, you know what? Sometimes, just holding my wife’s hand or hugging my grandchildren eases fear and worry. It allows me to think clearer and understand the situation better.

What others do is they spend countless hours blaming themselves or others and cannot accept that things happened. But when you start realizing that there are just unavoidable circumstances that help us become better entrepreneurs…. A better individual.

Entrepreneurs should have the means to help bring hope to our lives so that we may be able to see new opportunities. This allows us to forget about being depressed and, therefore, can fill our minds with hope, faith, and understanding, leading to new opportunities.

Being constantly reminded that there may be a need to resolve issues, especially when it is about money, can leave us hurt and make us terribly ill. Our mind is so powerful that if we don’t know how to control it can lead us to some health issues.

Am I in the right business?

I am sure that some entrepreneurs who experience problems with their business would ask themselves if they made the right decision to start the business they have. And I can’t blame you for that, especially if you think you started the business unprepared for whatever happens. Let me tell you this, a business fails for many reasons. It is mainly because the entrepreneurs see the business as a money-making machine and do not have their hearts.

I can suggest looking back at how you started it all. Recognize the red flags which lead to the problems and try to resolve them. It doesn’t have to be done overnight. If you must, consult with someone you trust or someone who knows about handling a business. You might have missed something along the way.

One compelling solution which I have held on to all these years is the power of prayer. A fervent prayer allows me to see things through and slowly helps me find ways to resolve my problems. I believe that when you lift up all your worries to Him, nothing can be so burdensome that you can’t handle it. I ask our Almighty Father to give me the strength to carry the burden and enlighten me. Your way out of worry and depression is yearning for Him through prayer.

In your most quiet moments, you will hear a voice that can lead you to the right path. There might be a new entrepreneurial journey waiting for you. When you stumble into some obstacles, it may be God’s way of telling you to stop.

I am not saying that all your worries will magically disappear in a flash. Still, you need to do something on your end to start making things happen. Therefore, just close your eyes and seek God’s guidance whenever you feel weary. You will be surprised at how much the silence can turn into a roaring success. Never let doubt step in because it can destroy your perspective. There is always, always a way to all of our problems. Some people just choose to be blinded. Take each day at a time. Knowing that God is always with us can fill us with immediate joy and hope.

So, where do you go from here – to give up or to hold on to hope? There is just NOWHERE BUT UP!
